NIZHNY NOVGOROD

The government of Nizhny Novgorod province supported by the federal authorities and the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation held an open tender in February 2011 to determine the potential investor for Nizhny Novgorod International Airport. The tender was won by Koltsovo Airport. The airport’s progressive reconstruction program to be implemented with the participation of a new shareholder covers the time period until 2021. The investments comprise nearly 4 billion rubles.

Investment Program

On July 4, 2012, the Investment Committee of Nizhny Novgorod province governor approved of six bids proposing land plots for the construction of facilities for Nizhny Novgorod International Airport.

Thus the following buildings and facilities will be built at the area of 177 ha:

• railway tracks and a railway station
• a sorting and distribution center
• a logistics center
• an access road and a truck parking area
• a hotel, a shopping mall and a recreation center
• the Airport City Office Complex
• a сargo terminal
• a command and control station tower
• a hangar for aircraft servicing
• buildings of the material supplies storehouse
• a hangar and a location for business aviation service
• buildings for servicing the airport’s transport and facilities
• a checkpoint
• buildings for the airport’s services

• car parks (including one multistorey car park)
