The airport’s investment program, that covers the time period until 2025, stipulates expenses for the construction of new permanent buildings and facilities, the re-equipment of existing facilities and the development of IT infrastructure. The investment program’s budget exceeds 5 billion rubles. 

Over the next several years the major investments will be allocated for the construction of permanent buildings. In particular, Koltsovo’s international terminal is to undergo a reconstruction, which will raise the level of service, increase the airport’s commercial area and allow for the automation and monitoring of its utility lines. A new garage for special-purpose motor vehicles and a hangar for business aircraft will be built at the apron to extend the lifespan of the aerodrome machinery and improve the quality of aircraft servicing. A multistorey car park will be built near Angelo Restaurant.  By 2025 Koltsovo Airport plans to expand the terminal complex, reconstruct the system of boarding gate galleries, install two additional boarding bridges, build a business center and a new catering building.

Among other things, this investment program has in view to prepare the Middle Ural capital’s airport for receiving guests of 2018 FIFA World Cup. Due to a systematic implementation of the investment program Koltsovo Airport remains one of Russia’s leading regional airports and is developing in a dynamic way.
