Koltsovo International Airport in Ekaterinburg is one of the largest regional airports in Russia. It offers fights to over 120 destinations operated by 45 Russian and international airlines.

In 2012 Koltsovo was announced the best CIS regional airport and granted the World Routes Award and in 2013 it was included in the list of the world’s five best airports by World Routes Awards.  In 2014 Koltsovo was named the winner in Business Space In the Public Interior category of the annual contest held by Best Office Awards. 

In 2015 Koltsovo Airport was for the first time rated by Skytrax, a prestigious British research company.  The experts awarded Ekaterinburg’s air harbour with four stars out of five. Besides, according to passenger reviews, Koltsovo became one of the 10 best airports in the following categories: Best Airport in Russia and CIS,  Airport With the Best Improvements and Best VIP Terminal.  In the same year, Koltsovo took part in ASQ (Airport Service Quality), a large-scale study of the level of service in the world’s airports developed by ACI (Airports Council International). The survey results showed a general satisfaction level of 4.17 points out of 5,  with the average grade in ASQ’s rating being 4.04, and the maximum rate being 4.49 (awarded to the international airport in Mauritius, East Africa). Koltsovo also became the winner of the Air Gates of Russia annual national prize. Ekaterinburg’s airport received an award as the best international airport with a passenger flow of up to 7 million people, an award for the best cargo terminal and a special prize from passengers (the winner in this nomination was determined by an internet vote). 

The airport’s apron allows for more than 50 aircraft. There are two runways suited for all types of aircraft.

The capacity of the operating air terminal comprises 8 million passengers per year. The air terminal is equipped with 10 boarding bridges.
