Airports of Regions MC and Analytics Centre under the Russian Government sign a cooperation agreement
Airports of Regions Management Company and Analytics Centre under the Russian Government have signed a cooperation agreement. The ceremony has been held in Ekaterinburg today as part of the INNOPROM 2021 international industrial trade fair. The document was signed by Konstantin Kalinin, Head of the Analytics Centre under the Russian Government, and CEO Airports of Regions Evgeny Chudnovsky.
The Analytics Centre’s experts study a wide range of transport development issues, transport infrastructure, cargo and passenger traffic, and in the last few years they have been performing expert reviews of candidate projects for inclusion in the Comprehensive Transport Infrastructure Modernisation Plan (CTIMP).
“Signing a cooperation agreement between the Analytics Centre under the Government of the Russian Federation and Airports of Regions MC will enable an exchange of experience, information, analytics, mutual expert and advisory support, conduct of joint events, as well as addressing other challenges related to the development of civil aviation industry in this country,” said Head of the Analytics Centre under the Russian Government Konstantin Kalinin. “At the moment, the federal project Development of Regional Airports, which is part of CTIMP, includes two airports managed by Airports of Regions MC: Gagarin International Airport in Saratov that opened in 2019, and Elizovo Airport in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, whose modernisation is due to be completed in 2023. So, not only does our cooperation have great prospects; it is also filled with practical content.”
“Regional airport development projects are implemented in partnership with the government, so it is important for us to harmonise our plans with the government’s plans for modernisation of the national air transport infrastructure. Our partnership with the Analytics Centre under the Russian Government that provides expert support in laying a comprehensive plan for crucial transport infrastructure modernisation and expansion will ensure this harmonisation in the best way possible,” said Evgeny Chudnovsky, CEO Airports of Regions MC.
