Koltsovo Airport wins the Wings of Russia award
Koltsovo Airport in Ekaterinburg (managed by Airports of Regions MC) has won the prestigious Wings of Russia national award in the category Russian Airport of the Year – Passenger Choice Leader. The award went to Koltsovo based on the results of passenger voting. This year, 21 air hubs participated in the competition.
Wings of Russia E.E. Chibirev National Industry Awards has been held annually since 1997. The Expert Council consists of professional community representatives and specialised media people.
Koltsovo Airport boasts numerous prestigious industry awards. In 2020, it won the Air Gateway of Russia award in the categories “Best Airport receiving 4 to 7 million passengers per year” and “Best Air Cargo Infrastructure”. This April, the Ekaterinburg Airport has been recognised as one of the best in the world for COVID safety and awarded the maximum Five Stars rating by the British rating agency Skytrax.
