PASSENGER TRAFFIC OF AIRPORTS OF REGIONS MC SURGES 17.4% AS OF END OF NINE MONTHS OF 2018

11.033 million persons took advantages of services in airports of the Airports of Regions MC (Ekaterinburg, Nizhniy Novgorod, Samara, Rostov-on-Don and Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky), according to results of 9 months of 2018. This is 17.4% above the figure of the prior year. Domestic passenger traffic was 7.83 million people (+19%) and international traffic amounted to 3.203 million passengers (+14.2%). Dynamics of passenger traffic growth of the Holding from January to August was 8% above average industry indicators.

   

Koltsovo International Airport (Ekaterinburg) provided services to 4.713 million passengers according to results of 9 months, up 14.3% against the like period of the last year. Passenger traffic on domestic routes totaled 3.050 million Pax (+15.9%). The most popular destinations in Russia are Moscow, St. Petersburg, Sochi, Novosibirsk, Simferopol, Anapa, and Krasnodar. Passenger traffic on international destinations totaled 1.663 million people (+11.4%). Overseas destinations enjoying the highest popularity are Antalya, Dubai and Larnaca. Phuket, Harbin and Dalaman also showed a significant increase.

Kurumoch International Airport (Samara) serviced 2.4 million passengers in 9 months of 2018, which is 19.7% above the like figure in the last year. Passenger traffic on domestic lines was 1.751 million people (+24.5%). The most popular domestic routes of the Samara airport are Moscow, St. Petersburg, Sochi, Simferopol, Ekaterinburg and Surgut. The growth of passenger traffic on International destinations was +8.3%. 649 thousand passengers took advantage of airport services and Antalya, Dubai, Istanbul and Dalaman became the most popular international routes. Nha Trang and Bologna - the new destination - demonstrated significant growth.

The passenger traffic in Strigino International Airport (Nizhniy Novgorod) was over 904 thousand in nine months, being 22% above the like figure of the last year. The airport services 649 thousand passengers (+20.3%) in domestic routes. Moscow, Sochi, Simferopol, St. Petersburg, Samara, Ekaterinburg and Rostov-on-Don have become growth drivers. The passenger traffic of international airlines was 255 thousand people, adding 26% to nine months of the last year. The most popular are Antalya, Larnaca and Minsk. Dubai, Dalaman and new destinations - Nha Trang and Phuket - provided a significant increase in traffic.

2.475 million passengers used services of the Platov International Airport (Rostov-on-Don), which is 22.7% higher than the like figure on an annualized basis. Passenger traffic on domestic lines totaled 1.858 million people (+22.4%). The most popular routes inside Russia are Moscow, St. Petersburg, Simferopol, Ekaterinburg and Sochi. The international traffic also showed material growth, having reached 617 thousand passengers (+23.5%). Flights to Antalya, Tbilisi, Istanbul, Dubai, and Erevan enjoyed higher demand.

The Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky International Airport (Elizovo) serviced over 540 k passengers in nine months of, 2018, which is almost 6% above the like period in the last year. Passenger traffic of the main air harbor of Kamchatka on domestic lines totaled nearly 522 k people (+4.5%). Flights to Moscow, Vladivostok, Khabarovsk and Novosibirsk and to local destinations of Tilichiki, Palana and Tigil traditionally enjoyed the highest demand among passengers. Furthermore, flights to Anadyr were resumed this year after a long break. Over 18 thousand passengers (+80%) took advantage of Elizovo international airlines.
