KURUMOCH INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT RECEIVED 4 STARS IN SKYTRAX RATING

Kurumoch International Airport (included in Airports of Regions holding) received 4 stars out of 5 in the rating of Skytrax (Great Britain), a reputable research company. The company’s experts conducted an audit of the Samara air harbor in July. The status received puts Kurumoch Airport in a line with other winners of the award, such as the airports of Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Helsinki, London, Paris, Tokyo, Sydney, San Francisco, and other cities. To date, only 37 airports in the whole world have 4 stars in Skytrax rating, including 3 Russian airports. In addition to Kurumoch Airport, Koltsovo Airport (Ekaterinburg) (also included in Airports of Regions holding) and Kazan Airport received this award. The maximum rating (5 stars) was awarded to only 8 airports in the world.

During the audit Skytrax experts become ordinary passengers: they pass an inspection, passport control, visit airport’s cafes and shops. They assess everything: from navigation and cleanliness to the Wi-Fi speed and the staff ability to help English-speaking passengers. Following the assessment of each of numerous parameters, the airport is awarded a certain number of stars.

“4 stars in Skytrax rating is the highest appreciation of the new terminal of Kurumoch Airport for 2 years of operation. It demonstrates the high level of passenger service at our airport at the global level and represents the result of joint work of all production units, our colleagues from Airports of Regions management company and tenant partners”, states Konstantin Bylinin, General Manager at Kurumoch International Airport.

Recall that in March Samara Airport was for the first time included in Top-10 rating of the best airports of Russia & CIS compiled by Skytrax under Passenger's Choice Awards. However, this award was given based on the passenger feedback, and Kurumoch Airport received the acknowledgement of the high level of its services from the most competent industry experts.
