THE RESULTS OF THE FIRST HALF OF 2017: PASSENGER TRAFFIC AT AIRPORTS OF AIRPORTS OF REGIONS MANAGEMENT COMPANY EXCEEDED 5 MILLION PEOPLE

According to the results of the first half of 2017, 5,066,000 people used the services of airports of Airports of Regions Management Company (Yekaterinburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Samara, Rostov-on-Don), which is 27% more than for the same period of 2016. The passenger traffic of domestic flights totaled 3,695,000 people (+ 12%), international flights – 1,372,000 people (+ 93.5%).

All the holding’s airports showed the positive dynamics according to the results of the period under review. Koltsovo Airport (Yekaterinburg) served 2,299,000 passengers, which is 25% more than in the first half of 2016. Rostov-on-Don Airport had 1,231,000 passengers (+ 36%). Kurumoch Airport (Samara) served 1,144,000 passengers (+ 24.2%), Strigino Airport (Nizhny Novgorod) – 394,000 people (+ 18%).

In the first half of the year Airports of Regions holding started cooperation with a number of new carriers. In particular, Belavia Airlines began to serve the flights from Nizhny Novgorod to Minsk, Turkish Airlines – from Samara to Istanbul, and Pegasus low-cost carrier – from both cities to Istanbul.
