The results of one of the key tenders for the selection of catering operators for the new Platov Airport complex were summarized. 7 various organizations will carry out their activity in the passenger terminal: free flow cafes, traditional restaurants with the menu order, coffee shops and confectioneries. 5 of 7 organizations are managed by regional catering operators that are widely represented in the Rostov market.

“The selected catering operators have work experience in airports. Most of them carry out successful activity in Rostov-on-Don and know the preferences of the local residents and city visitors”, said Sergey Krasnov, Executive Director of Rostovaeroinvest PJSC. “Catering services have always been a strong point of hospitable Rostov, so we are confident that Platov’s passengers will receive quality service and a wide range of dishes corresponding to the level of the international airport”.

Common areas of the airport terminal provide three conceptual solutions for passengers and accompanying persons: Coffeshop coffee shop, Vkusnolyubov pancake cafe and The Cutlet restaurant. Coffeshop located in Platov Airport will be distinguished by its planning concept – two-level accommodation of guests. The Cutlet restaurant, which was recently opened in the center of Rostov, promises to become a point of attraction for gourmets in Platov: Don specialties, about a dozen of kinds of burgers, beef steaks – the menu is suitable both for friendly meetings and for a business lunch. Vkusnolyubov network that opens the same-named pancake cafe needs no introduction: more than 150 outlets in the south of Russia and 13 years of work experience are self-explanatory.

“In the Soviet times the airports were built only as utility facilities, but nowadays even at the design stage they provide the comfortable waiting of flights by passengers”, added Sergey Krasnov. “We select the formats of organizations, the pricing policy, menus and interiors based on the preferences of the main target audiences of the airport, the work experience of Airports of Regions Holding in other cities and the best world practice in this sector. Furthermore, we continuously cooperate with partners, monitor the compliance with our standards, conduct annual passenger surveys and adjust the current work on the basis of the data obtained”.

Charter's Pub restaurant will operate in the international departure area. Its interior follows the classic English pub: a bar counter, leather sofas, and natural stone. The menu of Charter's Pub includes the traditional European cuisine. Passengers of Russian domestic flights can select between Khlebnaya Lavka bakery, classic British pub Charter's Pub and A-Cafe where ready meals are available on the counter and ordered and received immediately at the checkout point, which greatly saves the time of passengers.
