AIRPORTS OF REGIONS HOLDING RECEIVED ARCHITECTURAL BEST OFFICE AWARDS FOR THE THIRD TIME

Strigino International Airport became one of the winners of prestigious architectural Best Office Awards for the design of the business hall in the new terminal. More than 100 projects in total were nominated for the award in 2017. Besides Strigino, the design solutions implemented in the offices of such companies as Microsoft, Sberbank, Adidas Group, as well as in the largest business centers of Moscow, including Moscow City, and others, were awarded.

The business hall in Strigino was opened on September 13, 2016. The artistic image of the space developed by NEFA ARCHITECTS architectural bureau (Moscow) is based on the combination of bright red-ocher patina and nearly black surface of the blued metal. The design keynote is a dark red, burgundy, brown range of the old brick     of the Kremlin wall. According to Dmitry Ovcharov, the chief architect and the project author, he wanted to embody the brutal, industrial style of the big city in the general concept of the business hall, details and interior decoration.

“Such achievements could not be implemented in the old terminal, which also confirms the high level of the project implemented by us,” said Denis Bukin, Executive Director of Strigino International Airport. “The business hall has become a consistent solution of the design concept of the entire airport complex, which is primarily focused on the creation of the comfortable environment for passengers.”

Best Office Awards have been provided since 2010 and represent the major Russian professional award in the field of corporate interior design. They are annually given for the best Russian and international office projects, and prizes are awarded to the architect-customer group. The jury consists of several dozens of architects, office real estate consultants, developers, and general contractors. Strigino has become the third facility of Airports of Regions Holding that received Best Office Awards. In previous years, the award was given to Koltsovo (Yekaterinburg) and Kurumoch (Samara) airports.
