KOLTSOVO AIRPORT WILL PURCHASE EQUIPMENT FOR HEARING-IMPAIRED PASSENGERS

Koltsovo International Airport held the conference on the issues of air transport availability for low-mobility and disabled passengers, at which the airport presented the plans for improvement of the available environment. In particular, by the end of this year, the terminal will be equipped with tactile tiles, as well as induction loops for hearing-impaired passengers. Special equipment will be installed at the information desk and in certain terminal zones. Loops will facilitate the stay of passengers using hearing devices at the airport. Passengers will be able to listen to audio information at the increased ambient noise level.

It is worth noting that disabled passengers are increasingly using Koltsovo Airport. According   to the results of the first four months of 2017, the airport served more than 1,500 low-mobility passengers, which is 45% more vs. the same period of 2016.

For reference: Koltsovo Airport has a special service group for disabled passengers. Agents assist in the quickest and easiest passing of the necessary formal procedures (registration, customs and border control, baggage check-in and collection): they meet passengers arriving     at the airport and accompany them until boarding, as well as from the aircraft upon arrival. The service is provided free of charge. You can call the special service agent at the information desk or by pressing the call buttons installed on the first floor of the terminal near the entrance.
