THE HOLDING’S AIRPORTS HAVE RECEIVED A HIGHER WORLD AIRPORT AWARDS RATING

Koltsovo International Airport (Ekaterinburg) has for the first time made the first 10 world airports with up to 5 mln. passenger flow annually, and Kurumoch International Airport has for the first time made the first 10 top air harbors of Russia and CIS macro-region. These are outcomes for our holding of the World Airport Awards premium presented by Skytrax (UK), a prestigious industry agency.

World Airport Awards prize is also called as Passenger’s Choice Awards, since it’s awarded according to passengers’ response results. This year, around 14 mln. people from more than 550 airports throughout the world took part in the poll. The poll was conducted from July 2016 through February 2017, passengers assessed the airport by 39 criteria, such as transport accessibility, registration, control passing convenience, etc.

Besides entering 10 top world airports with up to 5 mln. passenger flow, Koltsovo reserved its positions in such ratings as “The Best Airport of Russia and CIS Macro-region” and “The Best Regional Airport of Russia and CIS Macro-region”, where it was present previously. This suggests that Ekaterinburg Airport confirms annually the high rating by Skytrax experts, as have awarded it four of five possible stars in March 2015.   And besides the achievement above,  Kurumoch Airport was third in the “The Best Regional Airport of Russia and CIS Macro-region” nomination, being as well a proper confirmation of the new terminal level and changes in the passenger service quality, as occurred following the opening thereof.
